DHCC is an annual Indigenous-led convening hosted through the Indigenous Health Program at the Cumming School of Medicine. It brings together Indigenous leaders, Elders, students, clinicians, faculty, and community partners to engage with how colonial structures shape healthcare and to advance culturally safe and accountable practice.

DHCC was held in 2024 and again in 2025, with the most recent Congress delivered as a joint event alongside the 2025 Annual Scientific Meeting. Planning is currently underway for the 2026 Congress!
